The enigma of life and death transcends our human understanding. We are uncertain about what occurs after the cessation of our current existence, yet many of us hold the conviction that it ushers us into another state of being.

What is certain, however, is that the moment of this profound change is beyond our grasp. In matters of life and death, we must relinquish control to a force greater than ourselves.

Believing in a kind universe allows us to release our fears about this change, trusting that when our time comes, we will be guided forward. This belief grants us a sense of invulnerability.

These earrings are very special to me. The mirrored glass is a remnant from a severe accident my husband survived, and serves as a tangible reminder of this belief. Despite his truck rolling multiple times and being utterly destroyed, he emerged with barely a scratch. By all accounts, he should not have survived.
